Function: fetchAsString()

fetchAsString(externalUrl, allowCache?, rejectOnHttpError?): Promise<string>

Fetches a text file such as an SVG.

Parameters​

externalUrl​

string

allowCache?​

boolean

Reuse a previous download of the same URL. Failed downloads are not remembered.

rejectOnHttpError?​

boolean

Reject when the server answers with an error status (for example a 404), instead of returning the error page as if it were the file. Off by default so existing callers behave as before.
